But the level of grime is still fairly intense, and he knows it.
He grins as he sets the gloves down for her. It's hardly glamorous work, that they're going to be doing, but he is happy to be doing it. Happy to be here and alive and to have his sister here. He knows that, by the end of their conversation, things are probably going to suck, a lot. So he's letting himself enjoy the happiness while it lasts. ]
