[ Oh, Ben hadn't been prepared for the accent. It surprises him, but unlike Aziraphale, he is a good liar. So his only reaction, externally, is a few blinks slightly more rapid than they otherwise would be. Then he sets it aside and listens.
It doesn't take all that much insight to tell that he'd given a pre-prepared 'I'm fine,' the kind you use when you really aren't but you aren't willing or quite able to admit it. If Ben had been on the receiving end of a fib that bad from Klaus or Diego or one of his other siblings, Ben would have just sarcastically raised his eyebrows and waited for them to crack. But that's the kind of thing you can pull with a sibling and not a stranger.
Instead he gives a little shrug, and nudges gently: ]
