It may be a small lie, but it's one that helps Kieran feel a little better. Enough that he wants to put on a brave face and tell this young lady that he'll be totally okay and that everything is fine. So he opens his mouth to do as much, prepared to let her know that he's most definitely had something to eat and for her not to worry about it.

But it's at that moment that his stomach decides to do the talking for him, answering her questions with a loud gurgle.

Kieran's face heats up.

"...Guess I could do with somethin' to eat, yeah."

He'll chalk the sudden hunger up to today's unexpected sprint session.
