[ It's a hard thing to watch, Peter trying to brace himself and stand up, unable to do it because of the pain. Ben's small smile doesn't disappear when he sees it, but it does turn sad around the edges. He bends down to help haul Peter up, supporting as much of his weight as he can but trying to be as gentle as possible. No matter how gracious Peter is about it, that pain is still on Ben. His responsibility.

Still, he doesn't think another apology will make either of them feel any better about it, so he proposes instead: ]
