Curiosity is never an easy thing to ignore, so Peter doesn't bother trying. When he looks up from cleaning webs off the kitten and sees that Cho's come in, he looks genuinely happy to see her. Because he is. He's happy to see everyone, he's like a puppy.

"Oh, hey! I haven't seen you for a while, how've you been?" He scoops his little fuzzy buddy up, brushes the webs off the table, and motions for Cho to come over. C'moooon let's fix tiny animals together.
