Okay, so rather than running from the horrible monster, the lady has elected to shoot an energy ball at it - Ami barely has time to process this mind-blowing development, though. As instructed, she ducks and turns away, covering her head.

She hears a huge, metallic crunch, but rather than stick around to see what happened, she scrambles away, essentially on all fours. The only thing in her head right now is to get away. She ends up underneath a table, and turns back just in time to witness Shepard being an absolute badass. It's not every day you get to watch a woman smash an alien robot zombie's face in so hard that it fucking disintegrates.

And then, this absolute badass turns to her, and asks if she's okay.

Ami can't find the words right away. The adrenaline's still going through her, her heart's trying to escape through her ribcage. But she swallows and nods, and cautiously comes out from beneath the table.

"Was..." she begins, once she can speak again - "was that a friggin' hadoken?!"
