I would say that aligns with what I know of you, of your desire to still help people, despite what they may think of you for what you've done. What you did to try to save Tony, your friend — it was not just to help him as an individual or the people of your world, but to preserve those ideals you so adored. Ideals that still exist even if the man who once embodied them is gone.
