Cho, naïve thing that she is, feels encouraged by the grin, and actually returns it. Peter looks hopeful. That's a good thing.
Then-- Oh, goodness. That's a very different thing. They're going. All right.
Cho shakes herself out of her stupor to follow after them. Peter is quick, and Kabal is blocking her access to the rest of the stairs with his bulk, and she certainly doesn't want to make Peter trip and drop him. So she hangs back, in step just behind the guys. She does this as she observes how Peter handles the sharp turns at each new level. He swings wide, to avoid smacking Kabal's head on anything. Which leaves a gap. It's a small gap, but Cho is a small person. As the next platform between levels approaches, Cho hugs tight to the wall, and when they reach out, she grabs the lowest point she can reach on the railing, and jumps down, swinging herself around the corner of it and neatly through the gap, landing herself on the stairs a few steps in front of Peter.
Which gives her a lot of open space in front of her, and she takes advantage of it, running down the steps three at a time with the confidence of someone who knows the exact spatial relation of their feet to all hard surfaces in the world around them. "I'll meet you in medical!" she calls, not looking back.
