for Ben

Cho realizes, after she leaves, that she does not actually know what time Ben meant when he said "tomorrow" during their last conversation. So she just turns up at the same time, exactly twenty four hours later, and realizes far too late that calling would have been the better option. He's made public posts. She's seen them. She knows when they went up. Would have been the work of a moment to go back and actually check for the network ID on them. Not that it matters.

She's here now, in another round of workout gear, this time heavily pink and mildly teal, with an empty gym bag slung over her shoulder. Hopefully the creatures are just as slow as the last time she went, and her only responsibility will be to run when she's told to. She can't defend herself, it's true, but she's good at running.

So she knocks, and then she waits, shifting subtly from foot to foot. It's not nervous fidgeting. More like light stretching. She's still not entirely sure how Ben intends to protect her if things take a turn, she hasn't seen any weapons on him, but she trusts him. If he says she'll be safe with him, she believes it.
