"Tending someone else's fever. Should have been more specific." Is that a ghost of a smile? Is she trying to make this into something she can laugh off? It dies quickly, slipping off of her face. Not as easy as it sounds, putting it behind her. She's been trying. It has not worked.

She follows him, though, and she's excited by the prospect of dragons. This will be a good thing. Good things can exist in the same space as bad things, and maybe, given enough time, they'll take up all the space and push the bad things out. "I don't mind tiny and pathetic." The humour in that observation is not lost on her. Maybe she can project onto the dragons, take care of them somehow, and use it to try and convince herself that she's in a better place emotionally than she really is. "Dragons aren't real where I come from."
