[In good news, Kabal's blow to the wall is plenty to break Carlisle's concentration, and with his focus goes his magic. There's one more fluctuation in the air -- a sharp spike of freezing cold that hits like ice in the veins -- and it is gone, his fingers curling against his palms, arms raised defensively in case Kabal lashes out at him.
