This sounds like a Mary Shelley novel, and that's not exactly comforting. There's something he's not saying, something he is still very deliberately not saying.

"Are you about to tell me you're a vampire?" Cause apparently that's a thing she has to accept as reality, now, so why not? He did hover outside until she invited him in. Shit. Is she about to die again? Can you double die? Is that a thing?

She said she would listen, though, and so she does. If he wanted to rip her throat out, he would have already done it. Right? It makes a strange kind of sense, in her mind.
