One flew over the murder birb nest.....
Who: Takeshi Yamamoto and Starscream
What: Nest Invasions and sword shenanigans
When: Mid-October
Where: King's lair (lol)
Warnings: Fun?
Yamamoto and King had talked about training together, swords, baseball, Yamamoto did not care. He just found it cool that the Mech wanted to hang out with him. After all, how many people could say they were friends with an ultra-cool mech King? Not many, and boy Yamamoto is proud of his friends anyway, so King makes it a little more special.
Of course, they talked about it but never set an exact date; King shouldn't mind, though. This morning he is up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and earlier than most people would consider proper. Because Yamamoto is always up more before than most people would consider appropriate, it's just the way he is.
By the time he makes it to King's living quarters, he's grinning ear to ear, and if he were a whistler, he'd be whistling. When he calls out, and the mech does not answer, he, of course, goes investigating. Coming up a rather exciting hide-away, very nest-like he sees.
The young swordsman scrambles up and peeks his head, eyes wide, smile bright when he sees a sleeping Starscream.
"Good morning, King!"

"Good morning, King!"

"Get out of my berth," he hisses petulantly, making a half-hearted swipe that's nowhere near close enough to connect. "Do you have any idea how early it is?!"

For a moment though he is simply enthralled by the shifting colors of the mech moving, he is imposing and impressive when standing but he is just as impressive in his nest, berth? Yeah, Yamamoto is still calling it a nest. Chuckling at that half-hearted swipe.
"It's a big nest! Besides, it's an hour later than usual for me. Come on King, let's go train, I want to see how cool you are in combat!"
Move it or the hitman might just scramble up on top of the mech like the puppy he is to see if he can peek at his face.

"Fine, if you're going to be so insistent about it, but I'm fueling first."
He pushes to his feet, leaving Yamamoto to clamber out of the nest and follow. Across from the converted quarters, a storage unit he's also claimed. The door is liberally labeled with warnings citing explosive and dangerous contents, and he's added a heavy lock. Inside, a machine that looks like a cross between a pressure cooker and a moonshine still only mech-scaled, takes up the floor. On the shelf, a half dozen energon cubes rest, their glow casting a blue tinge on the otherwise dim interior of the storage room.
Starscream takes one of the cubes and uncaps it, glancing over to see if Yamamoto's extracted himself yet.

"Is that like eating breakfast but for you?" By the time Starscream is grappling the Energon cube, the hitman is popping his head over the edge of that nest, still grinning.
"Whoa, pretty, it's almost the same color as my flames." Getting out of the nest is as easy as getting in was, only cause the boy has some skills. He scrambles onto the edge and jumps, landing with ease and a chuckle, because with Yamamoto, isn't there always a chuckle.

He does recall the flames that Yamamoto summoned the first time they'd had a video conversation, and he was right, they were almost the same shade. Starscream hadn't thought much about that ability in the intervening time, not with everything else going on, but now he was a bit interested in perhaps getting some kind of scientific read on those.
"Or did you assume I simply plugged myself in at night, like a battery?"

The swordsman would be glad to let the mech examine his flames, learn from them if he can. Gokudera may be a better source to get information on them, but Yamamoto's rain flames are very pure, much like his heart, reflecting who he is inside.
That last part has him doubling over in laugher holding his stomach "Where would you hide the cord?" He is now imagining Starscream tucking this absurdly long cord up inside his panels.

Honestly if Yamamoto really wanted to go out to the crevice with Starscream on one of his energon harvesting trips, the Seeker would probably agree. Even if the swordsman could do little with the actual crystal extraction, Starscream wouldn't mind the company (that much). Right now it was just himself, usually cursing his lot in life as he dug it out, and — even for someone who loved the sound of his own voice — that got a bit wearying after a while.
Starscream scoffed loudly at Yamamoto's question, but the look on his face and the hike of his wings — always a good indicator of his mood, Yamamoto would have discovered — said that he amused by the implication.
He decides he can drink the rest of the cube on the way. "Very well, where should we do this?"

He definitely does, he is always up for any kind of adventure ever. Besides, he can help dig at least, what he can remove in comparison to Scream might be minimal but it will definitely be something! And he can definitely talk the mech's ear off, his mind sometimes seems to move as fast as the rest of him. All energy, all the time, poor Hayato.
Yamamoto flashes a wide grin, a soft chuckle coming cause he knows he amused the Mech and figures that means he is going to get to go along one of these days.
"I figured up top! The only place big enough so we can really go wild if we want!"
He always wants, training is fun the more high energy he can get.
