Open: A Kindness to soothe the hurts

Cole is what he is because of what he does and so what he does is try and help.

He doesn't understand electricity, or computers, or what 'genes' are. He can't cook because he doesn't eat and he barely recognises the robots as existing because they lack the thing that makes him realise they're real.

So he lets himself sit, quiet and open and he listens for the hurts he can help. The things that need soothing and the emotional wounds that fester and need lancing and the aches that just need airing to begin healing.

And when he hears it, he follows.

OOC: (Cole is a spirit of Compassion and has an instinctively understanding of what is troubling people and what might help them recover. This can be as simple as listening to someone talk, or as complex as setting up a situation that would allow them to relax and forget about it for a while.

"You don't need gifts. You're telling her how you feel and letting her respond. You're giving her your respect and affection and your honesty? What could be nicer than that?"

"Okay, okay, I get it, just tell her. No gifts, just-- just words. Okay. I guess that does kind of keep things simple, so. So that's good."

Cole keeps staring expectantly at Peter.

Peter awkwardly stares back.

And then glances around the room a bit, also awkwardly.

And then stares at Cole again.

"...Did... did you mean right now?"

"Why not?"

[itsnotaonesie]

"I-- I mean, aside from being completely terrified, I don't really have a good reason not to."

Sooo, he stands up, and stares at the door for a moment before turning back to Cole.

"I do feel kind of rude just bailing on you, though."

Which is true, and doesn't actually have anything to do with the rest of this hot mess. He doesn't like being a rude boy, ok.

"I came here to help you. I helped you. It's not rude, I'm telling you to go and tell her." He makes a shooing motion like he had seen Josephine use. "Go. Tell her."

Other people's happiness makes Cole happy.

"I-- okay, I'm going. Thanks, like... thank you, seriously. I'm gonna-- I'm gonna go. Later, man."

He is being shooed away, so now it's time to get on outta here and absolutely have an internal panic on his way back to his room. Escaping Poison is impossible since they're roommates so he has no choice but to talk to her at some point.
