oh i'm too lazy to think of a fun title
Who: Aziraphale + whoever signed up + OPEN
What: Trying to take the arrival room from "I don't like this place it's spooky" to "oh it's not too bad in here, rly."
Where: The arrival room
When: Late August! Might have to brave traveling in algae or zombie infested points of interest, but on the other hand... the new Whole Foods has a home goods department and maybe there's some nice stuff in there. So. Pretty open range just depending on what people want to do/log out honestly.
Warnings: None so far! Will update as needed/requested.
To quote the arrival experience page:
So that is pretty much the project at hand! Make this place just a little bit less creepy to wake up in. Not necessarily too intensive. If someone only wants to do some light dusting and then hang out, Aziraphale's not gonna judge, at least. He's happy literally anybody is interested and willing at all. He'll send out messages to anyone who said they were interested with a day's advance notice, and then the log is also open to whoever might wanna wander in.
Characters will find on arrival that the video screen is... miraculously... no longer cracked. Truly the world is a mysterious place.

To quote the arrival experience page:
You come to alone, and other than a repeating video on a large, cracked screen (someone wasn't happy) and a half empty wall of communication devices, some of which don't work, the room is empty. At one point there were plants, and some kind of soothing fountain to offer tranquility, but the plants are dead and the fountain has long since dried up.
The arrival video flickers in and out under the dusty, cracked glass.
Its background is the arrival room, but in considerably better condition. Well lit. Clean. The fountain burbling gently against the wall.

NOTABLE CHANGES
For example, Aziraphale is in fact the one who de-cracked the monitor. He's out of paperwork range these days anyway. No one can stop him.

aziraphale | u know its open
The thing about Aziraphale is, he sometimes just does things certain ways for the #drama of it all.
Welcome to cleanup town. Everyone gets a greeting when they walk in! They might get two if they walk out at some point and then come back, because Aziraphale will never stop looking inordinately pleased that people are a) interested in this idea at all and b) coming together to do something that is kind and helpful. He loves everyone. It's getting out of hand.
He'll be drifting around from person to person, task to task. He has compliments and encouragement at the ready, even if they range from straightforward and sincere to a sort of "doddering time-traveling victorian uncle is at it again after a long period of Doctor Who-esque isolation" in consistency.
Aziraphale has, for once, left his very old coat behind in safer keeping and primly rolled up the sleeves of his shirt. Usually the only proper manual laboring he does is strictly related to the shelving and care of antique books, but what he lacks in this specific experience, he makes up for in enthusiasm. This is fun, he's pretty sure. It's a good way to not think about all the stuff he doesn't want to think about, and that makes it fun by default.
Anyway passersby beware, because if everyone sits down for a lunch break or a breather or something, Aziraphale will almost definitely end up breaking out the magic tricks. No, not real magic. And certainly not good magic tricks by any stretch of the imagination. Protip: hard to perform tricks that involve pulling something out of sleeve when sleeves are still rolled up. Let! Him! Entertain! Shittily! ]

Hi there! Are you Mr. Fell?

He wanders into the room and smiles a bit awkwardly at the very...enthused greeting it earns him. Newt lifts a hand in a bit of an awkward wave.]
Where d'ya need me, mate?
